Could you please help me with prom?

I'm a junior, and my first prom is in about a month or so. I've been having trouble finding a dress that I feel comfortable in, besides looking good in. I have a pear-shaped body, so finding something that doesn't accentuate my hips is a little difficult. I found these two online that I like:

What do you guys think? I have olive skin and dark brown hair. Do you have any ideas about what colors and other dress styles I should be looking for?

the first one i wore to my formal dance and its gorgeouss! i wore it in a medium green color though. it fit perfectly the only thing you might want to look out for if you get it is that if you wear any rings or bracelets that have rhinestones on them , be careful because they get stuck on it and make pulls in the material. other than that itsssss quite the head- turner :)

wow those will deff accentuate your hips! try one that is like a bodice/bustier then poufs out but not too much, so your waist/hips will be hidden. jessica mcclintock makes lots of dresses like this one so check her website for pictures

the second one is awesome! that'd look good with your hair/skin tone.

for your hair, you could put some of it back, like in a half-ponytail. and have the rest of your hair long flowy and curly. that'd be so pretty!=)

I have a pear shape body too. Always go with the A line dresses. I'll find a pic for you. Dont do anything tight past your waist.

this is an A line dress which means from your rib and down it will be flowy and it looks slimmer on you. I think Light blue, Light green or yellow would look great on you. Oh and Coral!

I really don't think you should wear either of the dresses . you should wear :

Color- red

haltertop style

up to your knees

kind of tyte fitted that ay it shows your figure. ok.

From the dresses i saw and the way you described yourself you could go with either of the dresses i personally love the first one! You could also dry a dress with (rooshing i don't know how to spell it) but you know the part on your stomach where its all bunched up and wrinkly that would look good on you. If its your style you could also try a bigger skirt!

A nice shade of green would suit your skin and hair colour.

I would go for a nice floaty number, that is high waisted or just under the bust line, with a full skirt in a fine material. Long or short both would be good.
