It can... but it honestly depends on the woman. Ultimately her wearing her hair in a way that is comfortable to her will look best.

A woman with long hair piled up on top of her head and still spilling down over her bare shoulders though can be so amazingly beautiful.

Yes. Usually hair looks best up when going somewhere fancy but you can pull half or just some parts up and still look amazing. For example if you have short hair pulling part of it up actaully looks better most of the time.

The Chignon or Bouffant was considered an elegant hairdo once upon a time. The way you wear you hair also depends on the cut of the dress. If it is high neck then you dont want the hair on your shoulders. If it is low cut then you might consider cascading, long and flowy hair.

Not necessarily. It all depends on your outfit. If you wear a low neckline,hair looks better down,high neckline,then yes, you can wear it up.

i dont necessarily think either is better... there are a lot of pretty elegant updos, and a lot of pretty, elegant "downdos". for instance.. for my sweet 16, i had a big blowout party.. kind of like a basmitzfah.. so i got my hair done, and i wore my hair down in loose pretty curls, and i put the top back in a gorgeous clip that matched my dress, and curled the chunk of hair that came out of the clip.. it was absoloutely GORGEOUS! i got soo many compliments! updos are pretty.. but just think... i love in a wedding when the bride's walking down the aisle, and you can see her hair and not just the vail. like curls or straight or a flip.. that looks sooo pretty!!

I think women should put hair up. Putting the hair down is a little too plain but ig u curled ur hair it would look so much better. But the best way is to put up ur hair.

There is no set rule. It depends on your neck, if you have pretty shoulders or not, the neckline of the dress, etc. For my wedding, I chose to have it down because of the style of dress and veil- it just looked softer that way. But I think updo's are so sophisticated in the proper setting as well- if the whole look is right and you have a well proportioned silhouette.

Generally yes it can look wonderful to have an up-do for those occassions. Of course there are exceptions and ladies should listen to their own heart about what they like and what is comfy or appropriate. That's the beauty of fashion having lots of lovely variety and the beauty of freedom-being able to do what you want. And of course it is a woman's perogative to change her mind as often as she wishes.

You have to go with what works for you and the dress. If you wear your hair up all the time wearing it down may make you feel like you've changed your look a little bit, which is nice when your doing something that isn't routine. I f you wear your hair down all the time then maybe pull just a little back, if it's curly go straight, if it's straight go for a little curl, hot rollers are nice (the bigger ones). Check out some websites and take some pictures of yourself in your outfit with your hair a few different ways, that way you can see how it looks. Good luck, I'm sure you look beautiful!

NO! My wife has beautiful long hair. I love it. However, she keeps it up all the time to keep cool and keep it out of her way. So, when we go out, I want to see it down, cause I like it that way. I think the hair up for fancy events is not natural. Wear your hair like you would naturally wear it.
