I have really bushy, really curly brown-black hair...?

Now say I had to go to this special event. Like an important party, or a prom or something really really important. What on earth do you think I should do with my hair?????? It is really curly and really really bushy no matter what and I need your adivce on what I should do with it when a special event comes along....

What kind of hairstyle????

I can't go to a hair salon or anything like that pls don't ask why.

i have the same exact kind of hair!!!

okay if you wanna tame the frizz

shampoo

condition and comb your hair while the conditioner is in,leave it in for 5:00 min. then rinse out with cold water while your rinsing comb your hair as you would wear it(ex. side part) after you get out of the shower dont brush it or comb it again!!!!!!! inless you use a wide tooth comb, if your hair starts to frizz while air drying rub a tiny bit of gel or product on your hands and smooth on the top of your hair, mainly just to tame fly aways, if it gets too crzy pull it back into a simple bun and ad a skinny headband, orrrrr do the same except use a flat iron on your hair when its completely dry

good luck!!

Straighten it...or if that doesn't work just put some moose/jell in it and make it cute like that,...

i think you should stop being so stupid and go to the hairdresses and get it highlighted and have it done permantly straight it last months!

my jamican friend did it and it looked gorgeous!

go to the hairdresses, your confidence will be so much more if you over come any fears and plus if you look gorgeous then you'll have men around you like fliess !

Wow! What happens when you straighten it? Maybe you could try that. It still may be bushy though.

you can't leave us hanging like that. you've got to tell us why you can't go to a hair salon.

After washing it, blow dry it straight and then straighten it. If you do both of those, your hair hopefully won't defy the straightener.

Look at some fashion magazines. Not all models and actresses have straight thin hair.

YOur hair sounds wonderful. YOu need to consider what shampoos, conditioners to use. Let your natural beauty shine.

why does it matter

What do you need a hair stylist for? Just wear a good pair of pantie's and you should be set.

i have the same hair. i comb it when its wet for a long time (almost until it dries) then it is a little straighter and not poofy or frizzy, make sure you use hair spray after.

hope i helped!

YOU COULD ALWAYS STRAIGHTEN IT , OR PULL IT BACK .... IF THAT DOESNT WORK MAYBE USE A CUTE BOBBY PIN AND CLIP THE FRONT SIDE PART TO THE BACK.

Go as curly and full and big as you can. You will look great.

I have the same kind of hair... lol

What works for me is using hair gel (extra extra strong)

Sometimes there's really not much that you can do with this kind of hair, but there are ways that it can look not as bad as you think it looks.

You can also get a straightening iron and straighten it out like that, but it might take a while, depending on how long your hair is.

You DO NOT have to go to some salon, my hair looked like PLASTIC after it. I have done it a quite a few times, at different salons. But, it's your choice.

I have had 'wild hair' for a long time. I finally got some advice that helps manage it, without getting rid of the curl. Remember - people spend hundreds of US dollars a year getting curl like ours!

The steps I use (I am a LOW MAINTENANCE kind of gal) are as follows:

I use a moisturizing\hydrating shampoo %26amp; conditioner (Pantene curl, Garnier Fructis, Sunsilk %26amp; John Frieda Brunettes are all non-salon brands I have had success with.

For styling, I have used a variety of products with differing success, depending on my purpose - ENHANCE CURL or MINIMIZE CURL.

to ENHANCE -- distribute thru damp hair %26amp; air dry

Rusk Str8 - tho it is labeled fo straightening, but if u want to have defined curls

Bumble %26amp; bumble Curl Concious - not intended for use to staighten

to MINIMIZE -

Rusk Str8 -blow it dry, then use a straighter\ flat-iron to smooth it out....can last 1-3 days depending on hair %26amp; nighttime care

There are 'frizz control' products galore in the states....I dunno where u r @
