I'm Wearing a Suit to The Prom, But How Do I Look Feminine?

Yes, I'm a girl. Yes, I'm 100% straight, but I'm wearing a suit to my prom. Why? I look awesome in it, feel awesome in it, and my father wiped out waaaaay too much money for it so I want to use it as much as possible! But here's my problem: how do I look feminine in it? Like, feminine enough to make people not question my orientation? I'm going to wear nice jewelery, have flowers braided into my hair, wear heels, and make sure I have a great date - but I'm still kinda worried. Is there anything else I can add to the list to look handsomly-beautiful? I'm not much of a make-up person, but I think I'm going to wear eye liner....

I wouldn't worry about it. If it's a feminine pant-suit, no-one will think you're a masher. Real mashers tend to go for men's suits which are cut differently.

Try wearing a really pretty and feminine shirt underneath. Something sweet and lacy may work. I applaud you for thinking outside of the box. Good luck and don't worry about what anyone else thinks.

Honestly, it sounds like you are 'girling' it up as much as you possibly can. Very subtle make-up still adds a feminine touch. Smile and have fun...take the opportunity to tease your date about how much better you look in a suit. :)

I think thats very cool, yes a little different but a great way to be individual. Diane Keaton does that all the time on red carpets and looks gorgeous. Anyway I think the flowers is a little to much for a suit. You should have long wavy hair and like stilleto s( not to high but high enough, think work, vouge style) for your makeup do very minimum, but do your lips a very bright red or berry color (depending on your skin tone) I think this kinda style would look very good. hope i helped and have fun =)

if you can get the suit tailored, get it done so it looks like a woman's suit and not a big boxy man's suit, that's probably the best thing to do.

if you want to look classic, wear stiletto pumps.

maybe if the undershirt is long enough, you could skip the pants, wear a black belt around your waist and wear the jacket over it... it would have to be way oversized to pull this off though... as for the makeup... you should wear like a light purple eyeshadow with black eyeliner and a soft blush... that way your face looks really feminine

If you insist on wearing a suit (which it seems you do) I'd go with lots of curls and you should wear more than eyeliner makeup-wise...try blush %26amp; eyeshadow too.

Wear an awesomely sexy top underneath the jacket. Something silver and low cut, or a red corset, or something black and lacy. Dust your d'ecolletage and collar bones with shimmer powder (not sparkles, shimmer!) Without the jacket you will have a very hollywood look, and if you take the jacket off you will still look great.

Maybe wear a soft colored cami or blouse under it. Like pink or light blue. (you didn't say what color the suit is)

Make-up will help. Try some jewelry. Maybe a pin (broach) on the front of the jacket too.

Try wearing a lacey, feminine, shirt/tank top underneath.

Also, curl your hair.

Wear a color eye shadow that matches the color of your shirt.

Try pinning a nice broach on the front of your jacket aswell.

I doubt anyone will question your orientation.

But if they do, who cares? Its your night, don't let them ruin it.

One thing for sure, you're going to stand out in the crowd of girls wearing formal gowns. That's pretty gutsy, to say the least. I like it. It shows how unique you are. yea idk a dress might be a better choice really. people will make remarks about your sexuality as the only girl i've seen wear a suit to prom, went with her girlfriend. not to mention, heels %26amp; a suit? not sure that would look all that cute
