Who has their hair roller set in a salon?

Do you agree that it's kind of an old fashioned thing to have your hair set in a salon now? I don't mean for now and again things like an up-do for a prom, but I mean like having a regular set.

Somehow it seems different using some hot rollers at home quick if you need them, or a curling iron. But having your hair set in a salon under a dryer seems so 1960's now LOL. Does anyone under 40 do it?

It may seem very 60's but there isn't really anything better. The salons do use curling irons. Not everyone gets the roller treatment. Depends on what style you want.

It is very relaxing to go to the salon. First to have someone else shampoo your hair and then cut and style. It feels good. Don't have to have rollers. I have a curling iron used on my hair. Makes one feel pampered. Can have the eyebrows waxed and go in the tanning booth at the same time you are there.

How,Are you supposed to get your hair done without getting it set under a dryer?Answer that.

I used to get my hair washed and set at a salon. Setting your hair under a dryer doesn't necessarily mean curls. It was a Hispanic salon that I would go to, and that is how they straighten hair. They wash your hair, put you in rollers, and then sit you under the dryer for an hour, then blow your hair out straight. It comes out really nice and silky.

Though, curls from sitting under a dryer do turn out very pretty I might say.

Yes, I am under 40 and have been doing it for years. It is called a "roller wrap". It brings you beautiful bouncy hair.
